He was so calm in his stall (this was my biggest worry) that you would have thought he had been doing this for years even though the energy level was very intense. He trailered like a dream, there and back. He made friends with the stallion behind him (the only horse he could see) and really enjoyed watching all the horses that walked past his stall (he was on the end stall). He even watched the lip evaluations that played on the TV in front of his stall :O) He did well in the big, scary arena. He only got upset when the speaker system made a nasty fizzy noise and when the crowd applauded, but that spooked all the horses! He got reeeeaaaaalllly tired,
Well, our boy handled the weekend just like a pro!!
but ate and drank well. The lip mare next to him (Samba) wouldn't drink, got very dehydrated and started to colic. Katherine had to take her to the vet but she was OK. Maestro drank water and ate hay like crazy. Thank goodness. Everybody couldn't get over how handsome he is. He really did look good. I had him all clipped, washed and polished to a shine.

Bye-Bye!

Cai turned three yesterday, and I wanted to thank you both, again, for making him possible for me. He's a joy in my life, absolutely the sweetest colt possible. I find myself sometimes wishing he'd misbehave, so that I could correct him and teach him what to do and not do. Mostly, he's just extremely easy and cooperative, and a love.  As you can see from the photo next to me, he is quite large -- we'll measure him this weekend, but I think he's 15.2 right now, and he's butt-high.

Knight and Casey made considerable size! He's very beautiful, and with the Maestoso curves, exactly what I wanted.

Cele,

MilesMiles' true nature is sort of animated without his hormones. I think even after he is gelded he will be a charming performance horse. I feel that the best contribution Miles and I can make to the Lipizzan breed is to be out in public showing and doing events. I know I will do much more with a gelding.
I wish you were able to see him. I just adore him!!
